Traverse City Record-Eagle Index

These files form the index of the following newspapers stored on microfilm at Osterlin Library: The Grand Traverse Herald, The Evening Record, The Morning Record, The Traverse Bay Eagle, and The Traverse City Record Eagle. These newspapers served Traverse City, Michigan and Grand Traverse County, Michigan. The index includes special sections listing birth announcements, marriage announcements, death notices, and obituaries that appear in the newspaper. The indexing was performed by Northwestern Michigan College Osterlin Librarians and volunteers from the area. The index covers newspaper stories, including birth, marriage, and death announcements, from the Traverse City area from 1868 to approximately 1985.
