Abstract

An unnamed tributary to Grand Traverse Bay adjacent to the Traverse City Light and Power Company's coal pile west of M-22 in Leelanau County was surveyed on August 3, 1983 to determine the impact of the coal pile run off up on the stream. The survey was requested by Jim Ribbens, Land Resource Programs Division because local citizens complained that the stream appeared abnormal and the presents it e is part of a proposed expanded coal storage area.
